Champions for Children's

We're your #1 fans

Thank you to all who made this year’s Champions for Children’s a #1 night for the #1 pediatric hospital. Together, we raised more than $3.7 million to support life-saving work for our children and families.

The evening kicked off with a special parade featuring Reading Memorial High School marching band and color guard, Boston sports teams' mascots, cheerleaders and dancers, and the Super Bowl LI Lombardi Trophy held high by New England Patriots wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell and recently retired tackle Sebastian Vollmer. With the help of our emcee, WCVB Channel 5 anchor Ed Harding, we honored Marcus Smart of the Boston Celtics with the 2017 Champion Award and Justin Doo, Boston Children’s patient and young philanthropist, with the 2017 Corey C. Griffin Humanitarian Award.

About Champions for Children's

When the best in sports join the best in pediatric medicine, the possibilities are endless.

This all-star gala fundraiser features Boston’s business leaders and sports teams—the Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and New England Revolution. Thanks to their support and our generous sponsors, we have raised over $54 million since 1997 benefiting the hospital’s areas of greatest need and making a life-changing impact on the lives of the countless children and families we serve.
