  • How do I cancel or modify my monthly gift?

    Your monthly gift will be automatically billed to your credit card each month unless you cancel it. You can cancel or modify your billing information or gift amount by contacting Krista Hunt at 857.218.3110 or Krista.Hunt@chtrust.org.
  • What is a monthly Dream Maker?

    When you give a minimum of $15 each month you become a Children's Hospital Boston Dream Maker. Dream Maker's receive a subscription to our newsletter Spirit of Giving, your own Dream Maker representative to answer questions, and a year-end statement that documents your generosity and the impact of your giving.
  • What is an unrestricted gift?

    An unrestricted gift is a contribution that can be used where it's needed most to help kids at Children's. This includes everything from crayons to cradles to keeping the lights on.

    To direct your gift to a specific purpose or program at Children's, select "Yes" on the drop down menu and specify what aspect of patient care you'd like to support. If you prefer to direct your gift towards a program or research effort not listed on the drop down menu, select "Other" and enter information where it says "Please specify". Contact us with any questions you may have about specific designations.

  • How do I take advantage of my company's matching gift program?

    Many employers have a matching gift program to maximize employee's charitable gifts. Check with your human resources office for information about your company's policy. To make a gift with a company match select "Yes" and list your company name.
  • How do I make a major gift?

    Major gifts are significant gifts to fund key hospital priorities in research, patient care and community outreach. Gifts can be endowed or unrestricted.   • How do I make a gift of securities?

    To make a gift of securities, you may either transfer your securities from a brokerage account to the hospital's account or send them to us with a cover note. Please include under separate cover a signed stock or bond power form. For more information please contact Ethridge King at 617.355.8868 or Ethridge.King@chtrust.org.
  • What is a security code?

    A security code is a feature on most credit cards to help secure and validate online credit card transactions. It is a three or four-digit number that usually appears on the back of the card on or near the signature block. American Express card users will find it on the front of the card. The security code is not the raised account number on the card. It is typically printed on the card and appears as the last three or four digits after your account number. The security code verifies that you have the card in your possession while making a transaction.
  • Will I receive a tax receipt?

    When you give online, we send a gift acknowledgement to the email address you provide. For gifts where no goods or services were received in return, the acknowledgement will serve as your tax receipt. When you have donated by purchasing a ticket to one of our events, we will send you via snail mail a tax receipt with the value of your tax deduction.
  • How do I make an anonymous gift?

    At the time you make a gift to Children's, you can choose to remain anonymous on the donation form. This option appears on the second page of the donation form after you fill in your billing address, phone and email. Besides the text "I wish to remain anonymous" select "Yes" in the dropdown menu.
