Champions for Children's

At the Champions for Children's annual dinner and auction, Children's Hospital Boston joins the best in sports with the best in pediatric medicine. This year's event on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 was a celebration unlike any other!

Athletes and owners from all five of Boston's major sport's teams (the Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox and Revolution) gathered together with top business leaders from Boston and around the world to benefit Children's Hospital Boston. Thanks to their dedication and support Champions raised more than $2.2 million, and donations are still coming in!

During the evening we were thrilled to honor Red Sox All-Star Josh Beckett with the 2009 Champion Award to recognize his commitment to making a difference in the lives of the patients at Children's.

Funds raised at Champion's for Childrens support the programs that make Children's Hospital Boston an 'all-star' hospital. They help support cutting edge patient care treatments not-yet-available anywhere else; research that's leading to breakthrough discoveries here and around the globe; and community outreach initiatives that strengthen Boston families.

Thank you to our sponsors, donors, and teams for making this year another big win for Children's. Please check back in the coming months for the 2010 date.
